Naomi Okubo

I was born and raised in Tokyo, Japan. I had lived in Brooklyn, NY from 2017 to 2021. The experience of living in NY expanded my view of the world because of its beautiful diversity, frictions, and contradictions. My primal interest is how people develop their own identity, and how our identity is affected by the image and information of mass media. I’m working with my personal experiences and it has become more meaningful for me as an individual living in the post-Covid pandemic era.
